Swagelok GB Series Ball Valves Provide Safe, 2507 coiled tube Simplified Installation in High Flow Applications

Swagelok GB Series ball valves are widely used as general purpose ball valves. Examples of ideal applications for this valve include hydraulic systems, injection and fire extinguishing systems in the oil and gas industry, insulation in compressed natural gas (CNG) transport infrastructure, and insulation in highly corrosive alkylation operations in the chemical and petrochemical industries. Combined with a wide range of Swagelok fittings, tubing and instrumentation, the new ball valves allow customers to build a complete 6,000 psi hydraulic system. in. using all Swagelok components, with tubing up to 1 in.
Swagelok GB Series ball valves benefit engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) and hydraulic equipment suppliers by reducing the time and cost required to install and verify installed components in high-flow industrial environments.
• Valve designed for quick and easy set-up, bi-directional flow eliminates re-installation issues. 3/8-inch to 1-inch Swagelok one-piece end connections further simplify system design and minimize labor and component requirements. • Reduces the chance of leaks or costly rework after initial installation by ensuring that Swagelok GB series ball valves are 100% tested to factory specifications. The tightness of the housing is confirmed by verification tests of the hydrostatic system at a pressure that is 1.5 times the maximum rated pressure. • The valve is designed to be easily customizable, with a bolt pattern that can be used as an additional locking handle or panel mounting point, and a bracket compatible with ISO 5211 pneumatic actuators. Configurable GB series ball valves as needed at the factory can in some cases make it easier to account for full flow valves with less inventory.
Swagelok GB Series ball valves are also designed to provide long-term benefits to owners and operators with features, materials and designs that help protect workers and maximize component life in harsh environments. • Designed with safety in mind, this valve features a patented mechanical locking end screw design that reduces the risk of accidental disassembly or leakage. Proven leak-tight stem seal design and blowout resistant stem provide added reliability. • To reduce corrosion in harsh environments, Swagelok GB series ball valves are available in alloys such as 6-Moly, Alloy 2507, and Alloy C-276, as well as materials selected in accordance with NACE MR0175 for sour gas service. The valve also complies with ASME B31.1 and B31.3 standards for electrical and process piping systems.
